1. Council President Briefing: Council President Andrew Friedson will hold a media briefing at 11 a.m. to reflect on his year as president and preview the Council’s upcoming election of officers. The Council president and vice president serve one-year terms. Watch the briefing live on the Council’s Facebook page.

2. MCPS Board of Education: The Montgomery County Board of Education will install three new members and honor outgoing members at a ceremony today at 4 p.m. The event will be broadcast live.

3. Vision Zero Youth Ambassador Deadline: Today is the last day to apply for the transportation department’s Vision Zero Youth Ambassador Program. The program empowers young leaders to promote transportation safety.

4. Municipal Monday:  The Gaithersburg Mayor and Council meet today at 7:30 p.m. The meeting agenda is available online here. The Rockville Mayor and Council will not meet.

5. Police Seek Additional Victims:  Detectives are asking for additional victims to come forward after FBI Agent Eduardo Valdivia, 40, of Gaithersburg, was accused of raping two women inside a Gaithersburg tattoo studio.
